Who the heck is Dean Cline?

I am currently a graduate student at Columbia University pursuing a master’s degree in Nonprofit Management with an emphasis in Sports Management. I am a Dallas native currently living in Brooklyn.

I am passionate about building the bridge of sports, culture & community. The growing number of athletes/teams who want to use their platform to give is incredible, that is my sweet spot.

I have a background working with e-commerce start-ups, as well as nonprofits. I have worked with small businesses & nonprofits over the last five years developing skills to creatively find ways to serve others.

I believe I am well-rounded & have the opportunity to bring more than just a great eye for social media to the table. The combination of my knowledge of social media, e-commerce, sports culture & a passion to serve others brings a unique perspective to the table.

Social Media

I have a background in the early stages of  Nature Backs helping the team grow  @naturebacks
Through Nature Backs, I know the power of a follower turning into a family & how vital they are to the growth of a brand.

I am currently a Social Media Consultant for Ben Zettler at Ben Zettler Digital  gaining incredible wisdom from his leadership as I continue to master the craft.

This is where I thrive. The crossroads between the platform of sports & serving others. I am passionate about that niche. I believe there is some untapped potential for athletes to use their platforms to better serve their local communities.

During Renee Montgomery’s season off of the WNBA pursuing social justice reform in Atlanta, I was able to remotely work alongside her Foundation’s team. I was on the on the Moments Equal Momentum campaign team with
. It was an incredible opportunity to serve her team with web design, e-commerce, digital fundraising, & social.

One of my favorite consulting projects was when I created, designed, & launched an e-commerce platform for a thrift store called  Warehouse 479 . Within six months the store was generating an extra $4,000+ per month in revenue to feed students & families in need.

Other e-commerce experiences include my time with Nature Backs, The Renee Montgomery Foundation, & Ben Zettler Digital.

Sports Crazed

For as long as I can remember, I have been in love with sports. Being from Dallas, I am a huge fan of the Mavs & the Cowboys. I am also a huge fan of all things Arkansas Razorbacks (my Alma matter).

I am an avid consumer & deeply rooted in sports culture. I stay in tune on the daily with all things sports media.

Fun Fact: I consume a lot of sports podcasts & only listen in double speed.

“It is with great pleasure that I provide this letter of recommendation for Dean Cline, an exceptional & dedicated intern for the Renee Montgomery Foundation. Dean has been a member of the foundation since July 2020, working on the web development team as the leader. From the very beginning, Dean demonstrated remarkable team player qualities while working closely with others who share the vision of the foundation.

Having Dean as a part of the team during one of the busiest times the foundation has ever experienced was truly beneficial. Dean is responsible for assisting in the execution of two of the foundation’s biggest movements in 2020, “Remember The 3rd”, an initiative to educate, motivate & provide genuine ins ight into the election process, & “The Last Yard”, a fundraising campaign to benefit local HBCU’s & their students financially. These two movements would not have been possible without the contributions, sacrifice & tireless efforts of Dean.

I am confident that Dean would be an attribute to any organization, given the talents & professionalism displayed while interning for the Renee Montgomery Foundation. It was indeed a pleasure to have him aboard our team.”
